WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY
…about the existence of God and creation? “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). These words affirm the existence of God. What assurance do we have of the truth of this claim? Reason teaches that something cannot come from nothing. Something exists; therefore, something always was. Had nothing existed, there could have been no creation, for there would have been no cause. It is reasonable to believe that God is the cause behind the universe.
In this county, we have a beautiful new judicial building. What would you think if someone said that this building made itself, that it just happened? We know that every building has to have a builder. “For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God” (Hebrews 3:4).
